I must mention my book TIX fast enough and I do not know what to know bout this place .. the best way to fly? I want a little sightseeing, relax and enjoy a little night life to go (if applicable)

haha much conflicting information! I will not say one is better than another, but just returned from a trip to Vietnam and can not say my opinion.
Both sides had a decent night life, and I think everything is closed at midnight in Hanoi?
I prefer Hanoi, was elegant, but fun, good for tourism (a cruise on Halong Bay is amazing!) .. I enjoyed Hanoi.
Ho Chi Minh, I found that only a big city ... were positive, but not quite to my taste. Some friends and I saw our trusted Lonely Planet English-speaking cinema (we were from the city to be honest ill), have found their way, only to discover, showed that only one film in English (check out Alien vs. Predator .. Yuck!) and showed only once a day. We finally go play bowling! A little off topic, but still.
One of my favorite places was Hoi An, which is halfway between the two (near Hue) - atmosphere, people .. and) shopping (what clothes and shoes was amazing. We had a great biTour ke da horse.
How long were you in Vietnam? If your first and see where you want to restart touring Intrepid, which is what I did and it was great!

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, have different properties, so it's hard to compare. Most are like a city to another. I prefer Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi, but I will make them even if you go to Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are not unique, and ... not from other cities.
